Poe Compute Points and usage limits

Poe Compute Points are an internal platform allowance, not cash or a fixed token quantity. Message capacity depends on actual model consumption; no fixed message count is promised.

Daily and monthly allowances follow their respective official cycles; check each monthly plan for its rollover cap. Annual totals and monthly equivalents are shown separately. Annual payment does not mean all yearly points are granted upfront. Model choice, input and output length, context and modality can affect consumption.

Aggregated models, bots and capabilities

Poe is Quora’s multi-model platform. GPT, Claude, Gemini and other models belong to their respective providers. Hosted bots, custom bots and model calls are not models developed by Poe. Models, paid access and point costs can change; check the account and official model directory for versions and context limits.

API access for external applications

The OpenAI-compatible model API shares account Compute Points with web chat; paid models require an active subscription or add-on points. Bot development APIs and creator monetization are separate development and revenue mechanisms, not the same subscription entitlement.

The official API limit is 500 requests per minute. Model parameters and modalities vary; OpenAI compatibility is partial. Private bots and App-Creator/Script-Bot-Creator are excluded from this model API.

Best fit and regional limits

Best for users who want several models in one subscription, chat and content creation, and a managed point budget. Heavy use of a fixed model, coding agents or production API workloads requires checking real point consumption and native tool features. Poe, OpenRouter, ChatGPT, Claude and Cursor have different product entitlements. Mainland China network access, regional eligibility and payment availability remain unverified.
